A safe campus is
a great campus.
Safety is key to our campus being a world-class place to learn, research, and work.
Whether you're in a science lab or wood shop – or just walking to class – we all play a part.
Learn more about safety basics and how YOU can help, below!

You don't need permission to call for help.
No matter where you are on campus, if there's an incident that feels like an emergency, don't hesitate to call 911 for off-campus help. (Let your gut guide you!)

Safety is everyone's business.
Improving the safety culture on campus starts with committed individuals who are working as a team. (Go Illini!)

Sharing what works – and doesn't – helps everyone.
When we openly share our safety successes and struggles it gives everyone an opportunity to learn, improving safety across campus.

Our safety resources and staff are here to help.
If you see something concerning, speak up! And if you have questions, ask! Safety guidelines and requirements can be complicated, but our safety experts are here to help.
